Archiving the early days of Danish thrash pioneers Artillery, Through the Years collects the band's first four albums into a limited-edition box set. Acting like a heavy metal time capsule, the set features the albums made during the band's original run, 1985's Fear of Tomorrow, 1987's Terror Squad, and 1990's By Inheritance, as well as Artillery's first album after disbanding in 1991, the 1999 comeback effort B.A.C.K. While the songs found here are a bit unpolished, Through the Years serves as an important document of what was happening in metal outside of thrash's "big four" during a time when the world was a lot bigger and less connected, and die-hard thrash fans would do well to see what Artillery had to offer.
