Album Review

Released on the Seattle-based independent label Sub Pop, this five-song EP acts as a fond farewell to the underground, catching the band just as they left the independent label SST for the larger waters of Epic Records. Blending the psychedelia of their SST material with the updated production and more focused songwriting that would later surface on their Epic debut, Uncle Anesthasia, the Trees turn in a strong performance that, as designed, is indicative of both where they have been and where they are headed as a group.
