This instrumental two-songer showcases
Thurston Moore's interest in guitar harmonics and coughing amplifier sounds. "Not Me" is one
Moore's most impressive solo recordings, as it manages to impressively combine experiment and theatrics.
Moore gets the ugliest sounds out of his guitar, while drummer
Tom Surgal's beats intensify these grunts and groans. Then
Moore sacks the guitar and gets even nastier feedback squawks out of his amplifier. "Lydia's Moth" is more contemplative and less satisfying, with
Moore continuing to explore dissonant harmonics.
