Album Review

Bruce Springsteen's "Reunion" tour with the E Street Band was generally regarded as one of the finest of the artist's career. This live concert was recorded over the tour's last two nights at Madison Square Garden. It's an emotional performance, and the concert footage adds the camaraderie and the simple joy of Springsteen's live shows that the audio release misses. All the hits are here, as well as magnificent, heartfelt performances of obscure gems such as "Lost in the Flood" and "The Promise." Live in New York is the definitive document of Springsteen as a live performer.
