T.D.F. is one of the strangest and silliest musical experiments from a '60s icon in the '90s. Where Paul McCartney explored ambient house with the Fireman, Eric Clapton -- who bills himself as "x-sample" -- explores ambient new-age and trip-hop as the guitarist for T.D.F, which also consisted of keyboardist/producer Simon Climie. The duo released their debut album, Retail Therapy, in March 1997.
