On February 7, 1964, The Beatles land at New York’s Kennedy Airport, and trigger a frenzy never-before-seen. Their appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show two days later marks the beginning of the British Invasion, opening the door for The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Animals, and hundreds more. It also changed the rock & roll template from gyrating star singer to a self-contained democratic band, with no one leader, and writing their own songs. The youthful energy released that weekend would reverberate through the sixties and seventies, and change the world.
