I've been in and around the music business for years and NEVER knew this story. And it blew me away. If you're a musician, love music or know someone who is the music biz, take the 14 minutes and watch this. It's really quite incredible.

    What an amazing story!.....and it doesn't seem to have changed him at all....a simple man who basically gets an instant retirement fund and live the rest of his life doing what he loves after years of hard work. A Cinderella story for sure. :)
    And I am surprised he didn't make it big 40 years ago the music seems to fit, like the man said it wasn't meant to be at that time.

    Ive known Rodriguez for many years, I had purchased a used iPod online from a University student in the States and he had left Rodriguez on there and I was immediately fooled into thinking this was a recent indie group with a raw sound, only later with some research, I realized this was a solo artist from the 60's, I was simply amazed. If you can, listen to his music, it is timeless and the lyrics powerful and still pertenant in todays world, he was decades ahead of his time. He has a permanent spot on my playlist and its great to see Rodriguez finally getting the recognition has been owed to him for so many years.
