VIDEO: Robots perform Motorhead's "Ace of Spades".. you gotta see this!
Compressorhead, a robot band from Berlin, have issued a cover of Motorhead’s 1980 classic “Ace Of Spades.”
The video has gone viral since its debut last Thursday, quickly racking up more than 1.3 million views in its first four days.
The group, which bills themselves as “the world’s heaviest metal band”, is made up of guitarist Fingers, bassist Bones and drummer Stickboy.
With 78 purpose-built fingers, guitarist Fingers was built by Kernschrott Robots, a company that creates direct recycling of discarded metal and industrial waste, converting metal parts and discarded devices into sculptures and objects of art.
Created by Robocross Machines, Stickboy uses 4 arms and 2 legs to plays his 14 piece Pearl drum kit with a double kick bass drum setup.
Compressorhead are scheduled to perform at Australia’s traveling Big Day Out Festival, which launches in Sydney in January 18.
The robot band’s setlist includes tracks by Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and The Ramones, among others.
