Got out to a bunch of shows this year at Pop Montreal and very glad to see such fast growth!!! Spotlighting indie music from here & beyond (which I think is of TITANIC importance since so much great talent goes unnoticed - especially when it's local), this was a year to remember for me!! David Byrne, former signer of Talking Heads was the big draw this year but again for me, the real fun was finding new bands like YOUNG RIVAL (from Hamilton, Ont.) and bumping to ol' buddies like Mike Nash of NASH (from here), last week at Cafe Campus.. You might've heard him on CHOMs Montreal Rocks but if you haven't already dug on Nash - check 'em out below - let them & me know what you think!
