Mashable.com is reporting that the reason we didn't see a console box last night during the #PlayStation2013 conference is because Sony hasn't finished creating it yet. 

"The console hardware isn't finished, but we thought this was a really good time to show our games," said Sony worldwide studio president Shuhei Yoshida to Mashable. Sony knew that consumers would be disappointed not seeing the physical box so they decided to reveal some of the internal specifications and the DualShock 4 controller instead.

When asked about the current look of the console, Yoshida didn't answer.

Here I was, thinking that Sony was purposely waiting to have something to show at E3! Ha! Nothing wrong with a little procrastination, but with a Holiday 2013 release window, they better get on that.
