College Bowling Picks
Bowl Picks
Championship Saturday 2-1
Season 21-21(as always, all records are ATS)
One more run at the college game before calling it quits on a rather unimpressive season. Sitting at .500 on the year I won't run and hide from my annual pick-6 selections on some of the bigger bowl games around the new year although like every other year, I wish I could considering outside of the big game in Miami a week from Monday, they are all meaningless exhibition games and you're often wagering on which team is more motivated/hasn't spent every night of their trip out getting hammered and accosting women. There's nothing on the line so as always, my advice is to approach it accordingly when considering how much scratch you're laying on any and all games.
Instead of writing capsules on each of the six games, I can more easily summarize each selection with:
- the team I'm taking should be more motivated/the opposition won't be motivated
- the team I'm taking is too talented/the opposition isn't talented enough to earn the cover
- And let's not forget the excited to be here/embarrassed to be here comments as well but those could also go under the heading of motivation.
LSU -6 vs Clemson
South Carolina -5 vs Michigan
Georgia -8.5 vs Nebraska
Wisconsin +6 vs Stanford
Kansas State +9 vs Oregon
Notre Dame +10 vs Alabama
Enjoy the pomp and pageantry...it won't be back again for another 8 months...and 3+ weeks. Ugh!
Thanks.
