Another fast two hours of great music and fun with the Crossword Cuts, where we got to thinking about the 'affection' and 'chemistry' of Valentine's Day with tunes to match from Depeche Mode and Bryan Adams.  Also, talked about Bryan Ferry's recent marriage to a woman 37 years younger than him... who is also an ex-girlfriend of one of his sons.  =o  Paul McCartney's Grammy attention and Donovan's entry into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,  an honour which some feel is long overdue, but he regards like this: "Recognition of one's work comes from the fans first, of course. My goodness, that's been again and again recognized."  Naturally, a fun Donovan classic on The Sunday Morning Stretch this morning along with groovy Bowie, Yes, Bob Marley (who woulda been 67 on Feb. 6th), a couple of songs about girls and lots more.  =)  Thanks for listening, I really appreciate it!!

Thanks for listening on the weekend, and to The Sunday Morning Stretch!!  ...and for helping me through the spelling of 'squeeze.'  =D  The Crossword Cuts got us into music from Argybargy, the last Squeeze album with Jools Holland, and Elton John's great Honky Chateau.  We talked about the new exhibit at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum starting in April on The Grateful Dead, and highlighted the imact of Etta James, as defined by Bonnie Raitt.  Also, thought about Michael Hutchence on what would've been his 52nd birthday, and heard a really cool re-working of a Kinks' classic from Ray Davies' See My Friends.  All that and a lot more, AND once again the time flew!  =D
