Heavy Montreal weekend is here! If you plan on attending the fest, here are some tips to consider before heading out:

  • Buy your tickets in advance before coming on site and ALSO get on site early to pick up your passes especially on Saturday to avoid waiting in line and missing bands
  • Getting your bracelets at the Bell Centre box office Friday would make an even bigger difference in your weekend wait times. The box office is open from 10a-8pm.

Don't forget to swing by and say hello to our very own Rob Kemp who will be broadcasting on site all weekend and feel free to say hi to the rest of our CHOM crew who will also be on-site!

This Saturday, the 2014 edition of HEAVY MONTRÉAL festival presented by Molson Canadian kicks off! A gigantic crowd will gather at Parc Jean-Drapeau for 2 days of heavy music to rock with their idols including Metallica, Slayer, Twisted Sisters, The Offsprings and many more!

Forest Stage To be able to present more bands, we added a new stage on site. The Forest Stage is located in front of the Apocalypse Stage presented by Galaxie and will feature bands until sunset. Go check it out to make great discoveries.

Locker rental For the first time ever, HEAVY MONTRÉAL is providing lockers for your convenience! Keep yourself light on your feet by using one of our lockers to stow your personal items for $15 a day. We provide safe, secure, and easy storage with ALL-DAY access so you can come and go to your locker at any time! To reserve your locker, visit HEAVYMONTRÉ

Bike Parking Upon arrival to the festival site, roll into the Terminus: our brand new, secure and dedicated bicycle parking lot, steps away from the festival’s entrance. You can park your bicycle here for the day via our valet service, get some maintenance done by your favorite pop-up bike shop and hang out as much as you’d like. Remember, we want you to get to and from the festival site as safely as possible so the Terminus will also serve as an area to relax and sober up post festival prior to leaving the site. HEAVY MANIA This year, HEAVY MANIA introduces an epic production that only be witnessed at HEAVY MONTREAL!

Ages before recorded history, a powerful demon lord named Sayn ruled over the World of Man with his demonic iron gauntlet, the HEAVY MANIA. Over two days, four factions will do battle to claim the HEAVY MANIA and use it to further their own goals.

The four factions will battle it out, tournament-style, to find out who will be the ultimate champion and claim the HEAVY MANIA! The story will unfold on the festival site on August 9th and 10th, with 16 pro wrestlers fighting for the glory. This is a show you will only find at HEAVY MONTREAL near the Apocalypse Stage presented by Galaxie.

The party starts before and continues in the city after the festival site closes at 11pm. HEAVY MONTRÉA is proud to present multiple pre and after parties at Katacombes:

To avoid waiting in line at the site entrance, we strongly advise fans to collect their bracelets in advance. Bracelets can be collected as of now at the Bell Centre Box Office until Friday, August 8th at 8pm. The Box Office hours are from Monday to Thursday, from noon to 5:30pm and Friday, from 10am to 8pm.

FESTIVAL HOURS HEAVY MONTRÉAL doors open at noon with performances beginning at 1pm and ending at 11:00pm for all 3 days of the festival.

RFID MISSION: HEAVY BRACELETS This year HEAVY MONTRÉAL is using the RFID technology. MISSION: HEAVY kiosks will be placed around the site so that fans can accomplish their Mission. Fans can visit to find all the necessary information regarding the bracelet and how to register it, what its advantages are and how you can win some great prizes on site!

GETTING TO HEAVY MONTRÉAL The best way to get to HEAVY MONTRÉAL festival is by public transit. We recommend you buy your return fare ahead of time and visit to plan your trip. To get back home, don't miss the metro! Please take a look at the last trains schedule from Parc Jean-Drapeau.

Items that are on the disallowed list will be confiscated. We recommend not bringing them to the event site at all to save you the extra hassle.

For your convenience, HEAVY MONTRÉAL offers a coatcheck/bagcheck just outside of the festival gates. Some items on the disallowed list (backpacks, folding chairs, etc) may be left at coatcheck. The coatcheck fee is $2.50 per item.

BE WARY OF FAKE TICKETS AND FAKE MERCHANDISE HEAVY MONTRÉAL strongly suggests that you purchase your bracelets from an official point of sale; bracelets sold by re-sellers may not be valid. And support your favourite artists and the festival by only purchasing official promotional merchandise sold on the festival site or on the online store. Merchandise sold in the Metro station or anywhere else outside of the festival side are NOT official HEAVY MONTRÉALmerchandise.
