*TRAILER* Chroma - A Musical First Person Shooter

Check out the trailer for Chroma, the new music-driven first person shooter from Harmonix, developers of Rock Band, Dance Central and Fantasia. In Chroma, you fight as Fader, a musical icon from the future, using music as your weapon and sound as your arsenal.

Set to launch as a free-to-play Steam game in 2014, the game features music-driven FPS gameplay that ties the game’s soundtrack to your combat, movements and other gameplay mechanics. Choose your weapon in sound such as electric guitar, bass, drums and pop synths based on your musical taste to take into battle. You will be able to ‘band’ together in team play to finish special musical challenges specifically designed for multiple musicians.

The landscape is also alive with the sound of music and the cadence of the soundtrack will alter the battlefield in real time to make both physical and strategic challenges.

Based on the trailer, this looks to be a beautiful game both visually and sonically and really puts a spin on the concept first person shooter. We will keep an eye out for this title as the year progresses.
