London: one of the world‚s most iconic cities, with famous landmarks like London Bridge, Piccadilly Circus, Buckingham Palace, and Big Ben. It has also been home to some of rock's most renown venues, like the Crawdaddy Club, the Marquee, and the Astoria.
And it has been the royal cradle for hundreds of popular music's greatest stars: The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Clash, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, and Coldplay. And these stars and that city have combined to create many of rock's most important moments.
"London Calling" gives you the chance to relive those moments and visit those places, many of which no longer bear any resemblance to what they once were.
From July 16th to August 10th, listen to the stories each weekday at 8:10am during Mornings Rock and at 6:10pm during The Buttshow, and then visit the locations through then-and-now photos, and videos of some of the actual events. View London Calling in a larger map
