When Alvin Curran recorded Songs And Views Of The Magnetic Garden, it was a fairly radical album. At the same time, it harked back to a simpler time in e-music, when loops, echo, and feedback were the primary recording tools. While this is a unique and original recording, it has definite echoes of the mid-'60s work of Terry Riley, Pauline Oliveros, and Steve Reich.
