C-BO - The Autopsy

C-bo's album debut is a harder-than-thou trip through gangsta funk, heavy on the syrupy grooves and blaxploitation samples. The title track, "Murder Man," and "America's Nightmare" reveal few subtleties, and even what could possibly be a laidback track ("Groovin' on a Sunday") has the same old played-out street nightmares. C-bo is a deft rapper though, indebted to Ice Cube and undeniably West Coast in his flow and sneer.
