Review by Nitsuh Abebe
This single, released well after The Smiths' demise, is really just a clever way to package three oft-desired rarities: the campy "I Keep Mine Hidden," the almost-single "Work Is a Four-Letter Word" (which tends to appear on a lot of Smiths collections), and a live cover of "What's the WorldNULL," an early James tune. Any Smiths fan looking beyond the band's album releases will listen to these songs first, and the fact that they've been packaged as a single (rather than as inclusions in one of the track-recycling collections that plague The Smiths' back catalog) is quite a blessing. Read More
