T. Rex - Great Hits 1972-1977, Vol. 1: The A-Sides

Few other bands have had as many "Best Of" collections released over the years as T. Rex. And for the most part, almost all are missing hits from their 1971 Electric Warrior album and before ("Bang a Gong," "Jeepster," "Ride a White Swan," "Hot Love," etc.). As confirmed by the title Great Hits 1972-1977, this 1994 collection is no different. While it does contain most of Bolan and company's biggest hits -- "Metal Guru," "Solid Gold Easy Action," "Groover," "20th Century Boy" and others -- it cannot be considered a definitive "Best Of."
