Tectonics is a fantastic 1995 release which marked the beginning of the Tectonics project -- yet another platform for the talents of the New York avant-garde musician who fearlessly genre-hoped between serious classical composition, abstract rock, free improvisation, and minimalism during the '80s and '90s. In the late '90s there followed tracts of the electronica, drum'n'bass, and illbient scenes, which created excellent results in this new context.
