Burning Wheel is the third single from Primal Scream's return-to-form album, 1997's Vanishing Point. Included are the slinky, nasty album version of the title track; The Chemical Brothers' remix of "Burning Wheel," which ups the bpms, adds atmospheric echo to Bobby Gillespie's vocals, and adds a fast-paced menace to the song that replaces the original's slow burn; "Hammond Connection," a funky piece of instrumental filler that sounds like the theme song to a cheesy '70s cop show; and an early alternate version of "Higher Than the Sun."
