Sun Ra returns to earth in his music-powered spaceship to wage battle with the Overseer over the fate of mankind. Of course, that summary hardly does justice to the wonder that is Space Is the Place: part Blaxploitation flick, part '50s sci-fi parody, and part social commentary all played out as Ra Myth.
