A unique acoustic ensemble, Black Cat Orchestra's music includes diverse world music influences from Eastern Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Formed in Seattle in 1991, the orchestra (including horn player Don Crevie, cellist Lori Goldston, saxophonist Scott Granlund, accordion player Kyle Hanson, vocalist Jessika Kenney, drummer Emily Marsh, and double bassist Jeff Teitelbaum) has written and performed music for myriad film soundtracks and theatre works. They have also recorded with David Byrne and appeared on National Public Radio's This American Life. ~ Matt Collar, All Music Guide
