Hopeful Monster is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Jason Ball. After working with acts like By Divine Right, Living Water Assembly, and Spoondaisies, Ball tested his own creativity in his Nervous System Studio in early 2001. Those sessions led to a new band and a deal with Halifax, Nova Scotia's Brobdingnagian Records.
