BLOGRESS

Far be it for me to complain about progress... (hmmm... look at how smart I look starting with "far be it"! Hope I can keep it up...) but I've got a problem. The other day I noticed a pain in my shoulder (and by 'noticed' I mean complained). I thought it was from something I did at the gym... you know trying to do too much... (yup I wrote that with a straight face) anyhoo... I've discovered that it was not my tremendous workout after all. After the continuing series of full body slams into the women's bathroom door here at work, I now know that I can lay blame on the newly installed door knob. You see, it used to be that we could just push the door open - y'know when the door doesn't close tightly? Now this new door knob allows for full door closure, which requires a turn of said knob to get in. I do want to be clear that I'm not unfamiliar with this procedure, it's just after 6 years of the same entry into the loo it's gonna take some time to adjust. (Oddly writing "it's gonna take some time" made me think of The Carpenters song - yes it is a bit scary in my head - so I Googled the lyrics, and giggled... yup I 'giggled' after I 'googled'... OMG the overall effects of this shoulder incident are greater than I originally thought!) Check it out:
"It's Going To Take Some Time" - The Carpenters
"It's gonna take some time this time
To get myself in shape
I really fell out of line this time
I really missed the gate."
Kinda weird that I am living parallel to a Carpenters' song, but I guess it could be worse... or could it??
This blog was inspired by Tommy Shaw... not the guy from Styx. =) Thanks for reading.
