New Metallica
Metallica played one of their new songs at Ozzfest last week....
The Black Tide
I really dig these guys.. when i got their album I listened to it and thought it was ok, but the ol three listen rule proves itself once again! i loaded it onto the ipod and forgot about it.. then last week I really got into it... They say it's a GnR / Megadeth thing, but I noticed lots of new-school Iron Maiden in there too. I'll play a track this week so you can make your own decision

You Might Be A Kiss Fan If...
remember the good ol days when we weren't debating the status of Kiss, Gene $immon$ apearing on every reality show possible, Tommy Thayer singing shock me, etc? I was just checking through old e-mails and found this great list!

thanks to
2000 man.
17. People know you as "The one who's obsessed with
"KISS"

rock and roll all
night"
are lyrics
that actually exist in the song "I."
19. When someone say's what's up? You answer "well let
me tell ya my
story..."
20. When you tell your kid to take out the trash he

Cool Megadeth Video!
I just came across this, it's a soundcheck from the "classic" Megadeth line up: Dave Ellefson, Marty Friedman and Nick Menza. Mr Mustaine is not there, but you can see how tight this trio was.

3 Inches of Blood show CANCELLED
Just got this:
3 Inches of Blood has cancelled its remaining US tour dates with The Black Dahlia Murder, Hate Eternal and Decrepit Birth, as well as Canadian dates with Rammer due to inclement weather and safety concerns. Cam Pipes said today, "It was not an easy decision to make, but due to the rapidly declining weather in the remaining areas of the tour, we have decided that it would be unsafe to continue touring in these conditions. We have had a great time with all the bands on this tour, so it is especially disappointing to have to cancel our remaining appearances. We are committed to rescheduling the shows when the weather is safer and the roads less treacherous. Sorry to disappoint anybody, but we would rather stay safe and live to play another day."

"I'm the singer of No Pressure, the best damn rock-metal band from Montreal in a few years. We've been together for a while and we're only just starting to get known a little. We're doing a free 2 hour show next Saturday at the Bistro de Paris on St-Denis after the hockey game,"

Top most important metal albums ever
People keep asking me to do a list of my must have albums... so here it is
This list is in no way scientific, just the ones that i think should be in every metalhead's collection. Even if you're only into grindcore, this is the history of how your music got to be like that. Feel free to email me your favorites! And your complaints...
Top Albums - in no particular order
Judas Priest - Painkiller (a perfect metal album)
Megadeth -Rust In Peace (another piece (peace?) of perfection!)
Anthrax - Persistence of Time (last with Joey), Sound Of White Noise (first with John)
