A late season storm is bearing down on southern Quebec this morning.

Meteorologists at Environment Canada are calling for as much as 25 centimetres of snow to fall over the next 24-hours or so.

Light snow will begin to fall this morning with heavier amounts this afternoon and continuing this evening into the overnight.

Strong winds gusting to 60-kilometres per hour will also cause local blowing snow and temperatures will be falling to -4 this afternoon and -11 by tonight.
