The Montreal Chinatown Round Table is thrilled to invite you all to celebrate Chinatown Day on July 20th, marking one year since the neighborhood was given heritage status!
For the first time ever, our venerable family and benevolent associations, founders and guardians of Chinatowns on Turtle Island, will open their doors to the public to share their histories and cultural activities.
Come to Chinatown to witness incredible lion dancing, meet Chinese artists and calligraphers, learn about dragon boat race training, visit the first ever indigenous-Asian green garden, and participate in various other activities!
Meet the social and cultural organizations, and delve into the history of Chinese immigration through a collaboration with the first Chinese-Canadian History Museum.
Join us later in the evening for an open mic at Sun-Yat-Sen Park, hosted by the youths!
